Emyr Sion

Emyr Sion is a DIY artist from Carmarthen in West Wales, inspired by the barn-made West Coast music of the 1970’s, and the elegiac music of modern alternative country. Combining simple and organic instrumentals with deeply personal and often self-deprecating lyrics, Emyr Sion writes honestly and openly about his thoughts and feelings, translating into timid and listless vocals which squat heavily over sonically pleasing guitar riffs ranging from dreamy and psychedelic to country and folk, with the occasional sneaking distortion.
