Inspired by a patchwork of surreal, psychedelic and DIY artists from around the world, Ellie Winstanley welcomes you into her intimate living room, the cosy world where, post-watershed, she leaves her self awareness at the door to write sweet but eccentric songs, warm with sincerity, sung in English and Spanish (depending on if she wants you to understand or not). Using any instrument quiet enough not to wake up the kids, she combines retro synth and rudimentary drum loops with stoner guitar, the sparkling omnichord, and dashes of doo-wap harmonies layered through a loop pedal.
